How customizable are the insurance plans?
Very customizable. Like really, really, really customizable. Got a mix of W2s and 1099s needing workers’ comp while driving a company owned auto? We go you. Looking to entirely separate your high risk contractors from your office-based W2s? No problem. We can work with you to build a customized solution that meets almost any need and budget.
Is this compliant with Workers’ Compensation and Misclassification regulations?
Absolutely. We’ve developed custom solutions to not only comply with the Workers’ Compensation regulations in nearly every state, but also make sure each working group is covered in the right way - and save business up to 80% on their premiums (talk about a win-win-win)
And, because regulations are always changing, we also offer contingent liability insurance specifically designed to protect businesses from claims of noncompliance with both legal defense and workers comp reimbursment.
How does the pricing work for hourly, daily, and per-shift coverage?
Premiums are broken down by the business’s key metrics - by the hour, day, shift, gig, mile, etc. Then, we do a monthly lookback on the contractor payments to calculate the premiums. This not only ensures real-time accuracy based on your own data, but removes the need for annual audits. (yes, really)
Do my clients need to use your payment tool to get pay-as-you-go pricing?
Not at all. Your clients are free to use whatever system works best for them. However, our portal is designed to make contractor payments as easy as possible. Which, of course, makes your monthly lookback reports even easier. Like so easy a caveman could… wait… wrong insurance company.
What’s the deal with the agent portal? What does it do?
You already know that the agent portal allows you to get a quote quickly and easily. It also helps you manage all of your clients’ GigEasy policies. Each client gets their own page so you can quickly find all the information for that client to file a claim. Plus our reporting feature let’s you track the claim from submission to resolution, so you can check in with your client when they need it most.
Can we integrate our existing client data or CRM systems with the portal?
Yes! We can support webhooks and have endpoints to securely pass data between systems.
What’s the commission for GigEasy products? And how often do you payout?
GigEasy offers 10% on Occupational Accident policies, and a competitive comp structure for all other products. Payouts are on a monthly basis and tracked through the agent portal. So you can access your earnings with ease!
Are there any additional fees or hidden costs associated with your insurance plans?
We do charge a small platform fee, depending on which GigEasy services you or your clients decide to use. And we do our best to communicate all fees upfront, so there’s no surprises. You can always reach out to get a full breakdown of our fee structure.
What documents do I need to get a quote?
Most applications ask for historical workforce data and a 12 month projection, plus any existing policies and/or agreements between the client and workers. But, don’t worry, there’s a checklist in our portal for each policy type.
What is the average turnaround time for quote processing?
You can typically expect a quote within 5-7 business days once the submission packet is completed and all requirements are fulfilled.
